Help with KingdomCome for iPad, listed on the App Store as KingdomCome Pulpit.

Contact Us

Email contact@dreamglyphstudios.com with "KingdomCome" in the subject. It helps to include:

  • your iPad model and iPadOS version;
  • the ProPresenter version, and whether the church computer is a Mac or a Windows PC;
  • what you were doing, and the exact message KingdomCome showed — a screenshot is perfect.

What You Need

  • An iPad running iPadOS 15 or later.
  • ProPresenter 18.2 or newer on the church computer, with its network connection turned on. Version 21.2 or newer is best. Versions back to 7.9.2 can connect, but slide cues need 18.2.
  • The iPad and the church computer on the same network — the staff network, not the guest Wi-Fi.

Connecting to ProPresenter

  1. On the church computer, open ProPresenter → Settings → Network, turn on Enable Network, and note the IP address and port it shows.
  2. In KingdomCome, tap the connection chip at the top of the library.
  3. Tap Search this Wi-Fi, or type the IP address and port and tap Check.
  4. When the dot turns green, tap Use this. KingdomCome remembers that computer and connects to it by itself next time.

The first time, iPadOS asks whether KingdomCome may find devices on your local network — choose Allow. If you chose Don't Allow, turn it back on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → KingdomCome.

Try It Without a Booth

A demo ProPresenter is built into the app, so you can try everything without a church computer:

  1. Tap the connection chip and turn on Use the built-in demo ProPresenter.
  2. Open the sample sermon, "The Kingdom Is Near".
  3. From its menu, choose Sunday checklist, then tap Fire the test slide.
  4. Tap Go to the podium and preach through it.

Troubleshooting

"Could not reach ProPresenter"

KingdomCome got no answer at that address. On the church computer, check that ProPresenter → Settings → Network has Enable Network turned on, and read the IP address and port again — the port is not always the same number. Make sure the iPad and the church computer are on the same network, and not the guest Wi-Fi. If the church computer runs Windows, the first time ProPresenter used the network Windows Firewall asked whether to allow it; it needs to be allowed. A Mac with its firewall turned on needs the same.

"Search this Wi-Fi" found nothing

Type the IP address and port the booth reads out of ProPresenter instead — that always works. If KingdomCome says the iPad is on a different network from the booth, the Wi-Fi may be keeping devices apart (guest networks often do); move the iPad to the church's staff network.

Cues are off, but the connection is green

Cues stay off until you have seen a test slide go up on that ProPresenter. Open the sermon's Sunday checklist and tap Fire the test slide. If the checklist says cues need ProPresenter 18.2 or newer, the church computer needs a ProPresenter update; until then you can preach in Follow mode while the booth changes the slides.

The podium says "cues held"

The booth switched to another presentation after yours had been on screen, so KingdomCome stopped sending cues rather than fight the booth. Wait for the booth to come back, or tap Fire anyway to put your slide up.

The Wi-Fi dropped during the sermon

Keep preaching — your notes don't need the network. Cues pause while ProPresenter can't be reached, and nothing is replayed at you when it comes back. If the screen is behind you by then, one button offers the latest cue you passed.

The iPad slept or the app closed mid-sermon

Open KingdomCome again; the library offers to Resume the sermon. One tap, and the clock and your place carry on — nothing is re-fired. Before next Sunday, keep the iPad plugged in and consider Guided Access (triple-click the top button) so nothing else can interrupt.

Common Questions

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. There is no account and no sign-in. KingdomCome only needs the local network that connects your iPad to the church computer, and it doesn't need that at all to write sermons or rehearse with the built-in demo.

What can KingdomCome change in ProPresenter?

Very little, by design. It cannot add, remove, rename, reorder or import anything in ProPresenter's playlists, libraries or presentations. It reads what is there, puts a slide on screen when you pass a cue or fire the checklist's test slide, and in Lead mode looks after one countdown timer of its own. In Follow mode it sends nothing at all. Nothing is installed on the church computer.

Is the connection to ProPresenter secure?

ProPresenter's network connection has no password: anyone on the same Wi-Fi who knows the address can change its slides. That is how ProPresenter works, not something KingdomCome can change, so keep the church computer and the iPad on the staff network rather than a guest one.

How do I back up my sermons?

Your sermons are stored only on your iPad, and they are included when the iPad is backed up with iCloud Backup or to a computer. Deleting the app deletes its sermons, so make sure a backup exists first.

Is KingdomCome made by Renewed Vision?

No. KingdomCome is an independent app made by DreamGlyph Studios. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Renewed Vision. ProPresenter is a trademark of Renewed Vision.
